Requirements & Expectations
As a Shift Qualified Trainee you will be required to obtain training (provided by KVERS) and maintain up- to-date certificates in the following areas:
- Vehicle Extrication
- EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course)
- First Responder Course
- FEMA Incident Command
- Blood borne pathogens
- Patient documentation
- Map Reading
You will also be required to volunteer 12 hours per week for a total of 48 hours per month as a shift qualified trainee. This requirement will continue as you become shift qualified.
As a Shift Qualified Trainee, you will be expected to be ready to serve the Knox and surrounding counties community needs in emergency & non-emergency situations.
